Despite being well into his dotage, Tyson appeared sharp and seemingly outclassed Roy Jones Jr. in the fight that later turned out to be a draw.

Tyson dominated the fight and didn’t let Jones Jr. infuse much damage. So, it propelled the boxing world to enquire whether Tyson saw fear in Roy Jones Jr. eyes. In his latest podcast with Teofimo Lopez Jr., Mike Tyson opened up about his outlook on the fight.

Answering Teofimo Lopez Sr’s question of sensing fear, Tyson declared, “I am just happy that we made some money to help people.”

While Lopez Sr. tried to instigate Tyson by recalling his prime, the heavyweight legend didn’t talk ill of Roy Jones Jr. Instead, he displayed just how much respect he had for the champion and didn’t pass a scratchy remark.

Following the fight, both the legends were pretty confident about going into a re-match somewhere down the line. Mike Tyson promised to accept more exhibition fights in the future, and Jones Jr. hinted at discussing it with his family before making the last statement.
