Claressa Shields and Eddie Hearn do not get along too well. In the past, Shields has been very critical of Hearn— But why you ask? One of her biggest rivals, Savannah Marshall is managed by ‘Matchroom Boxing,’ which is run by the British promoter. Shields is an undefeated professional boxer but she was defeated as an Amateur by Marshall. However, fate had it for them to meet again but for a professional bout. On the 15th of October 2022,  Shields avenged her only defeat by securing a unanimous decision victory. Ever since then, Marshall has been vocal about having a rematch.

Moreover, It was during the lead-up to this bout, Hearn was critical of Shields and backed his fighter, ‘Silent Assassin.’ His comments did not sit well with, “T-Rex,” and made a shocking revelation a couple of years ago. Before Shields fought and defeated Marshall as a professional, her critics were quick to point her only defeat against her. For this reason, She was vehemently contending for a fight against the ‘Silent Assassin.’ In 2020, she urged Hearn to make the fight happen. Intriguingly, around that time, the two met at an airport.

Their encounter was far from friendly— if anything, it was violent. In an interview, Shields revealed that she had punched him in his d*ck. She stated, “I see him at the airport and I punched him in the d*ck. A little tap-tap. But I put a little bit on him. But not a lot, just enough to make him feel it.”

A few years later, a fan wondered if this claim is true. On her Instagram story, she revealed that although she did not punch him in his d*ck she did end up hitting him. She stated, “No I uppercut him in the stomach! Ask Eddie Hearn.” 

And again, whether this revelation is believable is up to the readers. It would be fair to say that her disdain towards Hearn has not abated.
