British heavyweight Dillian Whyte has responded to Wilder’s call out in typical Dillian Whyte fashion. The Englishman has called out the American for years now but has never got a reaction from the former champion. However, now Deontay Wilder listed Whyte as one of the five heavyweights he wants to fight if he can not fight Fury next.

The Englishman now claims he is on the ‘A-side’ of this fight.

Speaking to SkySports, Whyte said, “Tyson Fury is not fighting him, so who else can he make any money from? Deontay Wilder is not a big draw at all. Even when he was heavyweight champion, he could not sell out venues, and I think he’s only ever had a couple of fights on pay-per-view.”

The outspoken Brit spoke about the five-man list too. He said, “If he fights with Parker, there’s nothing in it. If he fights Helenius, nothing. If he fights me, it’s the only way he’s going to make any form of decent money.”

He also spoke about ‘The Bronze Bomber’ ignoring their fight when ‘The Body Snatcher’ was Mandatory. “He’s a coward. Now he’s got nothing at all to lose, basically. He ignored his duties as the WBC world heavyweight champion. It’s shocking he was allowed to do it as well. Absolutely shocking.”

Will Dillian Whyte fight Deontay Wilder?

Whyte didn’t leave it at that. He added that he would in fact want to fight the American. He said, “It’s a good fight, a fight that I’m interested in, but he needs to dance to my tune. I want to beat the guy up, to be honest with you. Personally, I don’t like him. I think he’s a bad ambassador for the sport.”

Dillian Whyte is currently training for his rematch against Alexander Povetkin. The winner of that fight will be mandatory for Tyson Fury, who holds the WBC belt. If Wilder still had the belt, boxing fans could have seen the fight happen by now. However, with Fury set to fight Anthony Joshua next year, maybe we could see a Dillian Whyte vs Deontay Wilder fight.
