Both men will lock horns on May 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which will see Bivol’s WBA light heavyweight belt go up for grabs. Per the current scenario, Alvarez, who is on an invincible run, looks likely to become the 175 lbs champion once again.

He is all set to return after conquering the entire super middleweight division. And is now sparring heavyweights like Frank Sanchez in the gym. On his latest stint at 168 lbs, Alvarez vanquished three undefeated world champions from December 2020 to November 2021. While he is making a move back to 175 lbs, on his last light heavyweight trip, Alvarez had knocked out Sergey Kovalev. Therefore, Dmitry Bivol should never sleep on Alvarez.
