Pound for Pound superstar Canelo Alvarez will arguably be the toughest test so far in Dmitry Bivol’s career. Both men will lock horns on May 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which will see Bivol’s WBA light heavyweight belt go up for grabs. Per the current scenario, Alvarez, who is on an invincible run, looks likely to become the 175 lbs champion once again.

He is all set to return after conquering the entire super middleweight division. And is now sparring heavyweights like Frank Sanchez in the gym. Well, all of it still couldn’t intimidate his upcoming Russian rival. Bivol connected exclusively with FightHype.com and laughed off at Canelo Alvarez sparring Frank Sanchez.

19 (11 KOs)- 0 as a professional, Dmitry Bivol is on an unprecedented run right now, having held the world title since 2017. Besides, he will relish a massive size advantage over Canelo Alvarez. So, the undefeated champion has all the reasons to justify his confidence in winning the fight.

However, Alvarez is not new to any of Bivol’s features. He has been taking out unbeaten champions, who are bigger in size than him for quite some time now. On his latest stint at 168 lbs, Alvarez vanquished three undefeated world champions from December 2020 to November 2021. While he is making a move back to 175 lbs, on his last light heavyweight trip, Alvarez had knocked out Sergey Kovalev. Therefore, Dmitry Bivol should never sleep on Alvarez.
