Canelo Alvarez is currently on cloud nine after a sensational trilogy fight against Gennady Golovkin. However, it should be said that the bottle can prove to be the most formidable opponent that any athlete faces. In fact, it was reported that a ‘drunk’ Alvarez kicked out a band during his daughter’s birthday party.

Alvarez celebrated the 15th birthday of his daughter, Emily Cinnamon, on October 15, 2022. Notably, Cinnamon is the daughter from his previous relationship with Karen Beltran.

The celebrations started with a church service at the Guadalajara Cathedral. Which was followed by a party at his ranch in the same city. The event was attended by all his family members. Moreover, many notable names from sports, cinema, and music were present at the party.

Cinnamon was particularly fond of the Tijuana-based Mexican band, Grupo Firme. It should also be mentioned that the lead singer of the band, Eduin Caz, was a good friend of Alvarez’s. The band performed a number of their hits. In fact, Alvarez even joined in and sang with them.

Canelo Alvarez kicks out Grupo Firme

Initially, everyone seemed to be having a good time. The videos shared even showed Canelo Alvarez singing their hits, ‘El Toxico’ and ‘Piderma’ with the group. However, things quickly turned sour between Alvarez and the group.

According to reports, Alvarez got very drunk during the event. And he also got exceedingly exasperated with the band members. It was said that they ‘made him angry’, annoying him in the process. Alvarez then proceeded to run the group out of the venue while throwing insults at them.

Insiders also mentioned that there was a serious lack of planning at the event. And that a lot of guests had to wait for up to three hours due to the lack of tables.
