However, in the post-fight interview, ‘The Mountain’ said, “On my behalf [the rivalry is over],” said the winner. “Understandably he seemed angry still, he lost the fight. There are a lot of feelings right now. If he wants a rematch I’ll take one no problem. I would like to thank Eddie Hall and his team.” {h/t irishmirror.ie}

The former world’s strongest man entered the ring with a killer instinct. On the one hand, Bjornsson tried to establish a strong jab and straight combination of 1-2. Whereas ‘The Beast’, who was in his first boxing match, came all guns blazing. Interestingly, his right overhand stumbled the experienced man a few times in the ring.

However, in the second round, ‘The Beast’ landed a knockdown right hook on Bjornsson that sent the latter to the floor. It clarified that it will not be an easy go for ‘The Mountain’. But Bjornsson took some time and recovered well. He fought back with more temperament. Unlike his opponent, he relied on skills, kept his guard up, and dominated the last four rounds.

Slowly and gradually, Bjornsson’s jab and the cross combination became lethal, and he scored two knockdowns. First in the third round and second in the final round with similar attacks. However, ‘The Beast’s right hand remained a threat for the southpaw giant throughout the fight, but painstaking work of the jab and his height advantage favored the champion.
