Eddie Hearn Admits Anthony Joshua “Didn’t Know What He Was Doing” When He Boxed Wladimir Klitschko

Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing has been the center of attention for the media. The promoter never seems to be afraid to speak his mind, which stirs up controversy from time to time.

Matchroom Boxing is promoting the Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk fight. So Eddie Hearn is the representative that talks to the media on behalf of Matchroom Boxing for this fight. Recently in an interview, Hearn spoke about how Joshua has evolved as a boxer.

“When he boxed Dillian and when he boxed Charles Martin and when he boxed Klitschko, he didn’t really know what he was doing. He was just big and strong and tough, with good attributes and good fundamentals. Now he’s all rounded, he knows, he understands the game, and that makes you so much more difficult to beat.”

Anthony ‘AJ’ Joshua will step into the ring for his mandatory title defense against the Ukrainian sensation Oleksandr Usyk on September 25. The fight will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London, England. Joshua’s WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO belts will be on the line on September 25.

Joshua is aware of the challenges the Ukrainian presents and is training accordingly to beat him. After vanquishing Kubrat Pulev, Joshua initially looked to make a comeback against Tyson ‘The Gypsy King’ Fury in a unification bout.

Unfortunately, negotiations fell through and the fight did not take place, as Deontay ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder replaced Joshua.
