Fight Camp will finally conclude on Aug 22 with a fight between the two heavyweights Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin. The action doesn’t end with just the clash for the interim WBC heavyweight title. Katie Taylor will also defend her lightweight titles. However, an opponent for the Irish is yet to be announced.

Dillian Whyte vs Alexander Povetkin is booked for the third time

Dillian Whyte has been the WBC interim champ for a long time. However, he hasn’t received a shot at Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury. With the way things are lined up, the possibility of the same happening looks grim even in 2021.

Meanwhile, the booking of Povetkin vs Whyte marks the third instance when the fans have been promised a fight between the two. The first one was first planned for May 2nd at Manchester Arena. The event was later postponed to 4th June. However, even that was not possible with the Coronavirus in full swing. Hopefully, the third time is the charm for the two.
