The Londoner made a huge statement in December when he beat Kubrat Pulev. Critics suggested that hard-hitting Pulev would prevail over ‘AJ’. However, Joshua’s hard work paid off and he not only beat Pulev; he knocked him out in a devastating fashion.

Eddie Hearn has now commented on the aftermath of his victory. Speaking to Fight Hub TV on YouTube, Hearn said, “He’s fantastic, I mean, he hasn’t stopped working since the Pulev fight. And he’s loving boxing, and he’s quite enjoying lockdown. Because he’s so robotic, really, in camp and in [his] approach.”

This comment from Hearn showed the desire and dedication that ‘AJ’ has. Despite putting in a fantastic performance, he is already back at it. It also showed what makes Joshua such a good fighter. Despite a long and grueling camp, the two-time heavyweight champion has not rested.

What training is Eddie Hearn referring to?

There is no secret who Joshua is training for, as the unified champion is close to agreeing to a two-fight deal with Tyson Fury. This deal will see them fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship.

Moreover, Fury is the favorite going into the fight, and critics have backed ‘The Gypsy King’ to beat ‘AJ’ in the same way he dismantled Wilder. The WBC champion has repeatedly shown his confidence in his knockout power and has predicted a win inside three rounds.

Therefore, given the immense challenge Fury poses, it is no surprise that Joshua got straight back to work. The Londoner is known for his work ethic, and unlike his compatriot, his hard-work has been the sole defining factor in his career.

He will have to be at the peak of his powers to beat an awkward and unorthodox boxer like Fury. However, Joshua’s battle against Wladimir Klitschko has proven that he can hold his own with the other champions. Could we see more of the same against Fury?
