Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn and boxer-cum-promoter Jake Paul have been at loggerheads ever since the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano bout was announced. Meanwhile, Hearn clarified his viral statement of Paul being an ‘average’ box.
Hearn was talking with Ariel Helwani of ‘MMA Fighting‘. During the conversation, Helwani asked Hearn about a picture of him and Paul sitting together at the ring. It was also at a point where the duo did not have to be unbiased about the potential outcomes of the bout. In response, Hearn mentioned that the duo was initially supposed to sit in the promoters’ row. However, he added that the seating arrangements are different in America. And that he wanted to sit on the corral close to the ring.

Further, talking about the tensions between the duo, he said, “I had a bit of back and forth with Jake. I don’t think he my comments about, on our stuff about him being an average fighter. Which again, I stand by. Like it’s not, that’s still quite complimentary.”
