The English promoter spoke to the Daily Mail UK and revealed he had a bizarre approach from the middle east.

He said, “I can’t say who it was but it was from a very wealthy individual and he wants to do something very special. We’ve had 20 approaches for this fight but you know which ones are serious. But this one was just well out there. And it’s a realistic option, money is not an issue with this guy.”

This showed there is no dearth of options for the fight. Despite rumors suggesting that the pandemic would affect the financing of the bout, Hearn’s comment showed how many approaches they have received. Though Hearn admitted it would be a strange move commercially, he revealed it would be a trophy asset for the mystery bidder.
