The Turkish pugilist, Avni Yildirim, is set to touch gloves with the toughest opponent of his life in the form of Canelo Alvarez. Though this fight comes with a high risk, at the same it offers some equally captivating awards for ‘Mr. Robot’ who is coming off a long two-year break from the sport.

Prior to the fight, Canelo’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, was in an interview with his promotion’s official YouTube channel. Here, he talked about the problem with Avni Yildirim.

Hearn believes Alvarez is a sheer favorite in this fight, but he feels ‘Mr. Robot’ is too brave for his own good. The Matchroom supremo talked about Yildirim’s last fight against Anthony Dirrell. He felt that the fight could have gone either way, but the Turkish boxer lost it through a TD. Despite that loss, ‘Mr. Robot’ earned his title shot towards multiple super-middleweight straps.

The Turk is confident and extremely optimistic about turning the tide in his favor once he enters the squared circle tonight. The 29-year-old acknowledges Alvarez as one of the most prolific boxers of this generation and wants to give his best against the staunch Mexican. If he registers a win tonight, it’ll undeniably go down as the biggest upset of modern-day boxing.
