Dillian Whyte will rematch Alexander Povetkin on March 6 in what is set to be a bigger clash than their first fight. Although the date for this fight is out, a location is yet to get finalized. Whyte’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, shared some news recently pertaining to the same matter.

In a chat with media, the Matchroom boss confirmed that they are looking for potential hosts in Middle-East, Gibraltar, and Monaco.

On their first outing, the contest was held in Matchroom’s fight camp in Brentwood without fans. However, this time ‘The Body Snatcher’ wants to fight before a crowd.

Considering the COVID-19 situation, conducting this fight in front of a full-fledged crowd is a mighty task as most of the countries including the UK have still not fully recovered from it. This is predominantly why Hearn is hunting for a suitable location to conduct this fight.

The Middle-East and some parts of Europe have fewer or almost no COVID cases at the moment, and there’s every chance that this fight could get booked at any of these locations.

The first fight between the pair ended when Povetkin floored Whyte in round 5 of the 12-rounder. Given the fact that the Brit dominated until that point, he will be keen to put on a show and settle his scores with the Russian.

Can Dillian Whyte turn the tide in his favor in this rematch?

‘The Body Snatcher’ lost his second professional fight to Povetkin last time. Subsequently, he called out the WBC interim heavyweight champion for a rematch, as he’s eager to remove this fleck from his resume. He has hung around the sport for a long time and always had aspirations for heavyweight gold.
