Recently, Taylor’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, spoke to DAZN about the proceedings of this fight and interaction with Jake Paul’s team.

He said, “I had a call the other day with Jake Paul’s manager who works on that team that is motivated to try and make the biggest fight in Women’s boxing.”
“Jake’s a very smart young man. Very clever guy. I think he looks at it right now and goes, I could come in here. I could get a great payday for Amanda Serrano, which he obviously likes there and thinks that she deserves.”
A few days back, Serrano fought Yamileth Mercado for her WBC, WBO, and IBO featherweight title defense on the Paul vs Woodley undercard. Serrano got an easy win and put herself on top of the discussions for a fight with the legend, Katie Taylor.

For now, there’s no clear news on the potential weight class for this fight. This is because Serrano is a featherweight queen and Taylor rules the lightweight roster. Regardless of that, it seems this bout will take place at lightweight as it is ‘The Bray Bomber’s’ division.

Eddie Hearn and Jake Paul are both eager to book this iconic fight which will pin itself in the history books for obvious reasons.
Moreover, this contest might bring in the biggest paydays for both fighters. That said, with the interest seen from both sides, this fight seems likely for an early 2022 booking.
However, until either boxer, or either of the promoters officially announces the same, fans should not assume anything.
