Eddie Hearn in Talks With Jake Paul’s Team to Book Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano

Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano is a fight that can send shock waves in the boxing universe. For a long time now, hardcore boxing lovers have craved for an enigmatic clash like this in the female boxing vertical. But not a lot of fights have allured the fans. However, Taylor vs Serrano’s fight can change the narrative.

Recently, Taylor’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, spoke to DAZN about the proceedings of this fight and interaction with Jake Paul’s team.

He said, “I had a call the other day with Jake Paul’s manager who works on that team that is motivated to try and make the biggest fight in Women’s boxing.”

“Jake’s a very smart young man. Very clever guy. I think he looks at it right now and goes, I could come in here. I could get a great payday for Amanda Serrano, which he obviously likes there and thinks that she deserves.”

A few days back, Serrano fought Yamileth Mercado for her WBC, WBO, and IBO featherweight title defense on the Paul vs Woodley undercard. Serrano got an easy win and put herself on top of the discussions for a fight with the legend, Katie Taylor.

For now, there’s no clear news on the potential weight class for this fight. This is because Serrano is a featherweight queen and Taylor rules the lightweight roster. Regardless of that, it seems this bout will take place at lightweight as it is ‘The Bray Bomber’s’ division.
