Last weekend, Canelo Alvarez put on a clinical against his toughest super-middleweight opponent, Billy Joe Saunders. Canelo’s skillsets were too much to handle for the Brit, and the Mexican boxer finished him with ease. With that, Alvarez even concluded his 2-fight contract with the Matchroom supremo, Eddie Hearn.

However, Hearn and Alvarez both wish to partner again and stage the unified super-middleweight champ’s next fight with Caleb Plant exemplarily.

Hearn believes his partnered broadcaster, DAZN, will make a ‘huge offer’ to stage the undisputed clash between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant. Whereas, he even expects Plant’s promoter Al Haymon’s PBC and its broadcaster FOX, to make a cosmic offer too.

Ever since Alvarez turned his attention towards the 168-pound division. The only thing he wanted was to conquer all the titles on the line.

Fight by fight, he vanquished every opponent from his way to cement his spot as the unified champ at this weight class. Furthermore, he shut the naysayers with his performance in the last fight against Saunders and proved his worth to one and all.

Saunders came up with a stern game plan to tackle Alvarez, but the latter had all the loopholes covered. Despite not enjoying a slight advantage of height and reach, Alvarez didn’t let it hamper his performance against ‘Superb’.

Consequently, he struck Saunders with a heavy strike, that left his eye swollen. With that, the fight got concluded after round 8 and the Jalisco native added another feather to his cap.

Now the only important fight left for Saul Alvarez at this weight class is a 12-round war against Caleb Plant.
