The ‘Body Snatcher’ Dillian Whyte pulled off a classic against Alexander Povetkin. He annihilated the Russian to add another enthralling win to his name and thus adding the WBC interim heavyweight belt to his collection. With this win, Whyte has lined himself up for a much-discussed matchup against the ex-champ, Deontay Wilder.

Wilder hasn’t competed since his loss to Tyson Fury and he is desperately waiting to return to the action. Recently, Dillian Whyte’s promoter spilled some beans on the Wilder vs Whyte matchup. He even gave a timeline for the same.
As per Michael Benson, Eddie Hearn has asserted that he wants his fighter, Dillian Whyte, to step inside the ring this summer. Moreover, he wants the ‘Body Snatcher’ to take on the ‘Bronze Bomber’ in this exhilarating outing.

Also, the Matchroom supremo envisions this as a tremendous fight that has the audacity to fill up the stadium to its maximum capacity.
Many awaited a Dillian Whyte win against Povetkin, as they believed this would help him align himself for gigantic fights like these. That said, Whyte has now scored a gratifying win over his adversary, and this might let the door open for a massive Deontay Wilder fight.
With Hearn’s aforementioned point, it seems he is keen to book this matchup and roll out another heavyweight war between two stout names in the big men’s roster.
Deontay Wilder vs Dillian Whyte – A captivating matchup
Both Wilder and Whyte are absolute hard hitters in the most stacked division. Both of them have crucial knockout powers that can close the show in just one shot.
At this stage, this just seems the ideal time to book this matchup as they are two huge names with no huge opponent in line. Whyte, who just added his 28th career win, will be looking to take any and everyone present in front of him as he seeks to stay active before challenging for the world title/s.
