The heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua has been on the cards for years. However, several factors have prevented the matchup from happening.
Tyson Fury is slated to defend his WBC title in December, with no official opponent announced yet. Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua will also defend his WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles against Kubrat Pulev in December. He said, “The most important thing is that both the fighters win in December. I think the good news on that is Tyson Fury is not going to fight anyone significant.
“And listen, he is coming off a big win against Deontay Wilder. If he takes an easy touch in December, which he looks like he is going to, I don’t think you can criticize him for that, but we have got real fights in our hands.”

2021 will hold a lot in store for heavyweight boxing if Joshua and Fury win their upcoming battles. There’s no way they wouldn’t be fighting then. However, things can change again if one champion loses his fight in December.
