The talks of a mega-fight between the unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and the WBC, lineal, and The Ring heavyweight champion Tyson Fury have been going on for a while now.

Besides being one of the biggest fights that can be made, it also makes sense from a boxing standpoint. The two boxers have agreed to the financial terms for a two-fight agreement in 2021 to face each other.

According to  Hearn, Joshua is planning to deliver a knockout against Fury.

“He knows Fury is an outstanding fighter, and it’s going to be very difficult. But you can ask him for — I believe he has bad intentions in those fights, and I believe he expects to. I believe he will knock out Kubrat Pulev and Tyson Fury,” said Hearn.

What is the significance of the bout between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury?

Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) and Tyson Fury (31-0-1, 21 KOs) are two of the biggest stars in boxing. Besides that, they share all the major heavyweight titles amongst themselves. This is one reason the fight could not be made at a better time than this.

Fury has been seen working on the heavy bag in a couple of his videos lately, while Joshua has been hitting the pads hard, demonstrating his knockout power.

“I think he’s shown, coming back from the Andy Ruiz Jr fight, that he has the ability to box and move. That’s in the arsenal now.

“But he still loves knocking people out-and when you see the drills, when you see the pads and you see that spite in his shots. That’s something not just what they are working on, that’s something that’s coming from the inside.”

With Joshua and Fury both excited and confident to face each other, they still have to steer clear of their next opponents. Considering everything goes well, we’re probably looking at a fight that’ll be one of the biggest bouts in history.

Also, a new undisputed British heavyweight will be crowned for the first time since Lennox Lewis.
