He shared this delightful news on his official Twitter handle and put the boxing fans in a frenzy.

“Delighted to win the purse bid for @Filip_Hrgovic v @MichaelHunterII – IBF final eliminator – big fight!!! @SauerlandBros,” he wrote. 

The matchup between Michael Hunter and Filip Hrgovic was in the works for a long time. Both of them were hungry to claim a shot towards the IBF heavyweight gold, and this fight will finally act as an eliminator for the pair.

Also, the current IBF heavyweight king, Anthony Joshua, is sealed in for an undisputed title fight with fellow Brit Tyson Fury. Considering that, none of the contenders in the heavyweight roster will get a chance towards the world title until the duo fights each other and settles on a true winner.

That said, Filip Hrgovic and Michael Hunter have earned a massive opportunity to make themselves viable in the title shot race.
