This year, there’ll be some high-voltage heavyweight scuffles, and in that list, a rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr ranks at the top. Joshua suffered a disheartening defeat in their first fight in 2021. Since then, he’s been making waves over his collaboration with a new trainer.

Until now, ‘AJ’ hasn’t finalized his new head coach, but he’s expected to make this move soon. A few months back, he also visited America’s prime boxing gyms, meeting some biggies like Eddy Reynoso, Ronnie Shields, and more.

That said, Reynoso, in a chat with Fight Hub TV, spoke about looping Joshua in his training camp. He also revealed whether there’ll be some conflict if Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr. were in the same camp.

He said, “No, there’s no conflict having Joshua there with Andy. They both don’t have fights, so there’s the opportunity there to work with both of them.”

“No, there’s no conflict, not at all. Andy has other fights coming and so does Joshua.”

Andy Ruiz Jr. too is one prime fighter at Reynoso’s gym. At one point, he stunned the world by defeating Joshua and dethroning him from the title scenario. But his success was short-lived as ‘AJ’ bounced back in the rematch and defeated him.

Since then, the pair didn’t cross paths but if the Briton signs Reynoso as his coach, the former rivals might meet in the gym. Reynoso, however, assured in the above statement of no conflict arising between the two stalwarts.

Should Anthony Joshua really work with Eddy Reynoso?
