Being one of the most active super middleweights, Berlanga has bagged his fight purses frequently. While he continues to grow as a star and a boxer, his earnings will seemingly double up by the end of the year.

However, the clutches of COVID-19 forced Berlanga to miss out on fighting, subsequently stopping his income. Meanwhile, he had his family back up and savings to fall back on. The KO elite connected with ESPN and commented on the same.

“Thank God that I have my dad [taking care of me] because for two years I’ve been saving all my money from every check that I was getting. But with that being said, it’s a blessing that I made that decision to save my money, put money aside and don’t go splurging my money,” said Edgar Berlanga.

He added, “So for any given day, if that rainy day comes, I have money put away. If anybody sees me buying anything it’s because I can afford it, and not only that, if I buy it, I know I’ll still be comfortable.”

This approach towards finance and has proven to be beneficial for the passionate pugilist, Edgar Berlanga. Just 16 fights old, and with multiple endorsements under his belt, he already seems to be a millionaire. At 23, he has a lot of time left in his career, and hence, the Puerto Rican superstar can become one of the greatest and richest pugilists ever.
