Edgar Berlanga is one of boxing’s biggest rising sensations. The undefeated American has a 100 percent first-round knockout rate. As a result, experts have tipped him to become a world champion. And Berlanga has now spoken up about a potential bout with super-star Canelo Alvarez.

‘The Chosen One’ will return to the ring against Demond Nicholson on the undercard of Emanuel Navarrete vs. Christopher Diaz. He will look to extend his streak to 17-0 and silence the critics yet again. However, it could also see him continue his rise to the top and a potential world title shot.

This comment showed that ‘The Puerto Rican Mike Tyson’ is open to a fight against Alvarez, but knows he has to continue to work towards it. However, fans and critics will point towards the fact that he has fought no one in the top ten and thus should not warrant a fight against the champion.

Edgar Berlanga knows he can’t slip up

Canelo Alvarez is one of the biggest names in the sport and is on his way to becoming an undisputed champion in the super-middleweight division. Therefore, Berlanga will have to truly earn that fight given the number of other challengers who will want to face Alvarez.
