Can Cedrick Peynaud do the unthinkable against Ekow Essuman?

Peynaud (8-7-3) might not have the record to show for it, but he is one solid competitor. His most memorable fight was his first bout against British prospect Conor Benn. Peynaud had entered the contest with a record of (5-4-3), but his kickboxing pedigree was well known. He dropped Benn twice in the very first round and almost pulled off an upset that night.

Essuman being undefeated will definitely look to extend his win streak to 14. Since Peynaud has the tendency to go all out and tire himself out early, Essuman should look to wait for his chances and attack when the opening presents itself.

Peynaud is currently on a three-fight losing streak and will be the underdog going into this fight. This, however, could work in his favor since there is a chance that Essuman may take him lightly. If that is the case, Peynaud should look to blitz him with one of his flurries as soon as he sees the opportunity. A well-timed Hail Mary Punch could very well change the outcome of the fight.

To sum it up, despite of Peynaud’s chances, “The Engine” will still have the mental and skill advantage in this fight, and it will take shocker from the former to pull off the upset victory.
