Joshua Buatsi and Marko Calic respect each other

After the 12-round battle ended within seven, both boxers flaunted the war marks on their face. Receiving some brutal shots from each other, their eyes were swollen, and they were barely in the mood to rejoice after the fight.

While Buatsi defended his title, he also received some clean shots in the fight. Although they were very few, the Brit sported some major bruises on his face. That said, Calic and Buatsi spent some time hugging each other backstage.

It was an impressive sight to see as two light heavyweight warriors showed mutual respect. Matchroom Boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn, posted the pictures of the post-fight segment on his official social media handles. It was enough to bring a smile on the fight fans’ faces.

Although Calic suffered the first loss of his professional career, he can learn from it and return stronger. If Calic successfully gets back into the win column with a couple of victories, he can bag a rematch with Buatsi. Needless to say, the rematch has all the chances to go down differently.
