However, in his first title defense, the former champion lost to George Kambosos Jr. That being said, Lopez did not succumb to his defeat and made a comeback in the super-lightweight division. His favorite belt happens to be his Lightweight Ring Magazine title. In a recent video, Lopez appears to be recording himself while expressing his love for the Ring Magazine belt that he won.

In the video, he stated, “F*ck the other belts. I love all the belts. But this one right here, you gotta know about this one. I’m the man. I’m the man. They can’t take this one baby.” However, De La Hoya was pleased with this revelation. In response, he stated, “Enough said,” while tagging the official account of Ring Magazine on X.

It is safe to say that there are certain agreements between Lopez and De La Hoya. In the past, the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions has lauded the Ring magazine.

De La Hoya is a former champion and continues to be associated as a boxer in the capacity of a promoter. Moreover, he is a highly opinionated user of X. In a recent tweet, De La Hoya unveiled that according to him, the Ring magazine is the least corrupt and credible boxing organization. He stated, “No corruption, no politics, and no bulls***”
