Unified welterweight world champion Errol Spence Jr. talks about the secret strategy that Floyd Mayweather uses to attract fans. He compares Mayweather’s lifestyle to the hip-hop artists, mainly rappers. While discussing his views on the personality of a typical rapper, he pointed out Mayweather’s approach to becoming a celebrity like the rappers.

Spence feels Mayweather used the aspects and styles that usually a rapper uses to create their personality. 

He says, “What Floyd [Mayweather] did was more of a hip-hop type thing where he was trying to basically make himself into a star.” 

According to ‘The Truth‘, Mayweather imbibed the hip-hop culture to become more famous among his fans.

He also justified his statement by stating some notable facts about Mayweather. He adds, “So, he used cars, jewelry and money. And that’s basically what rappers do. A lot of boxers try to get their image from rappers.”

Pretty Boy is fascinated with luxurious things, and thus he spends a good amount buying them. According to Spence, it is not only Mayweather but even other boxers who tend to do so to reflect the image of a rapper.

Floyd Mayweather had a good equation with rappers throughout his career. Moreover, he has entered the ring for his fights with some of the famous rappers of all time.
