In only a matter of 24 hours, Ryan Garcia made several comments about Devin Haney on social media. Besides accusing ‘The Dream’ of worshipping Satan after he signed with Prime Hydration Drink, Garcia declared he would go all out Mike Tyson on Haney on April 20th. In this context, ‘KingRy’ even referred to Tyson’s fights against Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis.

Finally, Evander Holyfield reacted to Garcia’s interest in mirroring the infamous event of 1997 when Tyson bit ‘The Real Deal’. Here is how the former unified Heavyweight champion reacted to Garcia’s post on social media.

When Evander Holyfield rematched Mike Tyson in 1997, ‘Iron Mike’ bit the former to lose the fight via disqualification. With less than 40 seconds left in the third round of the fight, as Holyfield and Tyson came in close proximity, swinging at one another, ‘Iron’ viciously bit Holyfield and pushed his back. Soon, the referee called it a day and disqualified ‘Kid Dynamite’. Later, Tyson paid above $3 million fine for the act. However, Holyfield forgave ‘Iron’ Mike. “I was so quick to forgive because I realized when somebody got you, you’re not winning, and all you just want is [to] get out, you bite. Life is really all about forgiving,” Holyfield even told Vlad TV. But, when Garcia threatened to go Mike Tyson on Devin Haney, ‘The Real Deal’ was left completely startled. Yesterday, taking to social media, Garcia wrote, “I might bite Haney ears. Mike bit one. Ima bite both. I’m hungry.

To this, Holyfield replied with the startled-eyes emoji.

In this context, it is worth mentioning that in a follow-up, Garcia also alluded to Mike Tyson vs. Lennox Lewis. In 2002, however, with the IBF, IBO, and WBC Heavyweight titles on the line, Lewis knocked out Tyson in the eighth round in Memphis. Nonetheless, due to the animosity that Tyson shared with Lewis, police officers stood between the two when they entered the ring.

On that note, Garcia claimed he would “need the army” to stop him. “I don’t think I will stop hitting him if he’s down. I’m not even capping,” Garcia concluded.
