Evander Holyfield Says Anthony Joshua Is Better Than Tyson Fury and Other Heavyweights

Anthony Joshua is fresh off a fantastic win over Kubrat Pulev, which has gotten him a step closer to a super-fight against Tyson Fury. Fury and AJ are the undisputed best heavyweights in the world. While Deontay Wilder definitely doesn’t like the sound of that, this is the truth. A Joshua-Fury fight would be the biggest fight in boxing.
As a result, a lot of people like getting into this conversation about which one is better. Predicting a winner is hard, but many have given their preliminary thoughts on who is better. This includes former heavyweight champion, Evander Holyfield.

“I think Anthony Joshua might be, on paper, the better fighter of all of them. You know because he’s a gold medalist and he is a good fighter. And the individual himself is like… when you talk about the heart of a person. What does a person do? I know he capable of being the very best of everybody, but the whole big thing that when pressure hit him… what type of person is he gonna be?”

Anthony Joshua: Is he better than Tyson Fury?
Again, this is a hard discussion to have. Fury will definitely be the favorite heading into a fight with AJ because we are yet to see Fury be fallible. He almost got KO’ed in his first fight against Wilder but came back to get a draw (in a fight the media scored for him). He dominated Wilder in their rematch and has been awaiting an opponent since Dillian Whyte lost his mandatory status.
AJ has now taken care of Kubrat Pulev and can look ahead to a fight with Fury, He beat Pulev handily, but the memories of the first Andy Ruiz Jr. fight live on in the minds of the fans. That vulnerability is going to be a massive question, even though it seems like AJ feels like he has addressed it.
