YouTube sensation Jake Paul will now transition into MMA following a mildly successful stint in boxing. Despite, having an undefeated record and beating UFC legend Anderson Silva, ‘The Problem Child’ feels it’s time to move over to other combat sports with MMA being his next choice.
Paul has signed a multi-year contract with the upcoming promotion PFL. The deal will also include the creation of a new weight division, the Pay-per-view Super Fight Division. This will be a separate division from the original PFL roster and will include fighters with more brand value. Moreover, it looked like the Ohio-based boxer was more than excited to transition into MMA as he shared his thoughts on the move.

Jake Paul makes a wild announcement following his PFL signing
In an interview, Paul claimed that he was now going to plan and revolutionize MMA like he did boxing. He stated that he has already made waves in boxing and now wants to do the same with Mixed Martial Arts. “I’ve already disrupted boxing, and now it’s time to disrupt MMA,” he said.
However, despite his bold proclamation, the fans were having none of Paul’s boasting, as they were quick to put him in his place. In addition, they mercilessly trolled him for making such claims without anything to back them up.
Fans sound off on Jake Paul’s announcement
One fan stated that Paul was now going to fight a retired boxer in an MMA setting, a formula he applied in boxing. “Now he’s going to fight retired boxers in MMA rules.” he wrote.
Another fan was excited to see Paul in MMA and wanted him to face Jon Jones, who is levels above Paul. “I support him. I want him to face Jon Jones. Good luck” he wrote.
One fan even referenced a Mike Tyson quote and claimed that Paul hasn’t disrupted any sport, saying, “Everyone has a plan until you get kicked in the head and he didn’t disrupt boxing. He never fought a pure pro boxer.”
A fan hilariously stated that ‘The Problem Child’ will face handicapped people in MMA. “He’ll fight that legless dude in MMA” he wrote
Another fan wondered how Paul ‘disrupted’ boxing while never actually facing a boxer in his career. “How can you disrupt a sport while never facing someone truly in the sport.” he wrote

The fans were not too keen about Paul boasting before even stepping into the ring. However, ‘The Problem Child’ is known for his antics which is the reason why he has become so successful despite not having any real experience. In addition, he might just surprise people with his MMA skills as he did with boxing, although the same can only be said once he steps inside the octagon.
