Former unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. had a shot to fame when he knocked out the unbeaten Anthony Joshua in June 2019 for the world titles.

It brought the spotlight on Ruiz Jr. as he became the first and only man to beat ‘AJ’. Starting from luxury cars to his flashy lifestyle, media suddenly started gathering news on the Mexican superstar.

However, the heavyweight boxer always kept his personal life low-key. He is a husband and a father and unlike many other boxers, it’s just his boxing antics that ‘The Destroyer’ flaunts.

Andy Ruiz Jr. is 29-years-old and is a father to 5 children. His son who also shares the same name is already into boxing and is often spotted training alongside his father.

Meanwhile, his newly born son, Riche Ruiz (son), and daughters- Bella Ruiz and Beverley Ruiz are also frequent in the Mexican’s social media posts.

Ruiz Jr. married his long-time girlfriend Julie, and they have been together since then. But they have never disclosed much about their relationship. While Ruiz Jr. is now a global superstar, he still prefers to keep his family private and away from the boxing glory.

He is the first Mexican ever to have held a heavyweight world title in boxing. That said, beating Anthony Joshua isn’t his only accomplishment. ‘The Destroyer’ has an impressive professional record of 33 wins (22 KOs) with 2 losses.

However, none of those losses came via stoppage. It makes him one of the most legitimate threats in the division as he is also shedding some serious weight ahead of his return in 2021.

Following a year-long hiatus since his loss against Joshua, Ruiz Jr. hasn’t confirmed his opponent yet. However, he will possibly announce it soon and come back to the squared circle to compete for the world titles again.
