Despite a gruesome in-ring encounter, Teofimo Lopez and Vasyl Lomachenko don’t seem to have relinquished their rivalry. While Lopez took out Lomachenko for the unified 135 lbs belts via unanimous decision, the Ukrainian legend wasn’t pleased with the outcome.
He has constantly demanded a rematch and has claimed that their original fight was a draw, demeaning the official outcome. However, Teofimo Lopez doesn’t seem interested in a rematch. Ahead of his title defense against George Kambosos Jr. on June 19, ‘Take Over’ took a dig at Vasyl Lomachenko.
“Loma, I heard big news that you wanted to quit, and retire, and everything after this loss. And how you were so deep in your head and how you wanted to quit, an all those things, and how you was going through a depression. So, they all telling him to say a draw because they don’t want him to mentally go down like that,” said Teofimo Lopez.
