‘Captian Hook’ is known for his iconic goatee, which has been part of Jones’ look for many years, so it came as a shock for fans when the boxer decided to unveil his new look on social media.

Fans react to Jones Jr’s. new look

Jones Jr. recently posted a picture of him on Instagram unveiling his new look in which he shaved off his iconic goatee. He also posted a long caption with the photo where he praised God. He wrote, “Life is tough, but we have to appreciate the little things. We have to also thank God for breath every day, but to me, it’s better to SHOW him our appreciation by using the breath of life for something positive. Trying to free a fellow athlete was just an extension of my appreciation to God. Keep the faith and go hard every day. God still RULES!!! Pensacola in da house”

Fans were quick to react to Jone’s new look as one fan commented on the post to express his shock. He wrote, “No beard omg”. Moreover, another fan called out Jones Jr. and asked why he didn’t try this look before. “Awesome with new face shave. Why not earlier! Handsome”.

A look into Roy Jones Jr’s career

‘Captian Hook’ has had one of the most legendary careers in boxing. He has competed in 75 bouts with a record of 66-9  across three divisions. He came into the spotlight after defeating former champion Bernard Hopkins and securing the IBF middleweight title. Moreover, he has also been a heavyweight champion securing the WBA heavyweight title after beating John Ruiz back in 2003.
