British heavyweight boxer Dereck Chisora got his revenge over Kubrat Pulev after beating him in their rematch and winning via split decision. Moreover, this was Chisora’s first victory since 2019, but he was not fully satisfied with it, as he called out fellow heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder after the fight.

However, it seems like Wilder’s co-manager, Shelly Finkel, isn’t too eager about making this fight as he came out and dismissed the British boxer’s proposition.

Wilder’s manager dismisses a potential fight with Chisora
Boxing analyst Mike Benson tweeted that in an interview with PlanetSport, Finkel dismissed the potential fight and stated that the British boxer only won his fight with Pulev with a narrow split decision.

“Chisora? He just edged a split decision over Kubrat Pulev, no way” He said. Wilder has fought nobody since his loss to Tyson Fury in their trilogy fight but has stated that he will make a return to the ring and fans were quick to react to this.

Fans react to Finkel’s comments
Fans took to Twitter and reacted to Finkel’s comments and praised him for dismissing this potential fight as one fan stated that Chisora should stay in the UK and Wilder should face the winner of the Joshua vs Usyk rematch.

Moreover, another fan stated that anyone who doubted Wilder after the Fury fight was a “casual” and that he would “blast” Chisora. He wrote, “Anyone who doubts Wilder after the trilogy with Fury is a causal. He may not be the most technically astute boxer, but the man has power, grit, and a chin. For me he blasts Chisora into a hospital early doors.”

However, some fans even went as far as claiming that Finkel saved Chisora’s life by not letting him move further with the fight as one fan stated that Finkel gave him life. He wrote, “Finkel said give him life instead of a death sentence.”

Moreover, another fan stated that Finkel prevented this fight because he did not want Wilder to have a murder case against him. He wrote, “Wilder’s manager doesn’t want his fighter to have a murder case next to his record,”

It looks like fans were grateful that Wilder’s manager was quick to dismiss a potential fight with Chisora and with the Bronze Bomber’s skill set and freakish knockout power; it becomes hard to argue that Chisora would stand a chance against him
