The sport of boxing has been rejuvenated with energy and fire. One reason for this is the sudden rise of YouTube boxing star Jake Paul. Paul entered the world of boxing with a considerable amount of hate. However, after going on an incredible run of wins, he proved his haters wrong.

Since his debut in boxing, Paul has realized what’s wrong with the sport and has shared his views on it.

What according to Jake Paul is the problem with boxing?

Jake Paul joined Ariel Helwani, the host of the show ‘MMA Hour’, ahead of his fight against Hasim Rahman Jr. The Ohio-born YouTuber-turned-boxer is disappointed by the way things work in the boxing industry. Moreover, he explained why he believes the sport is dying.

Paul stated the reason is that huge fights with the biggest names going toe to toe with each other never really comes to fruition. He said, “I’m starting to realize what the problem is with boxing. All of these f**king fighters who [distorted sound] to man up and make these fights happen.”

He also raised the question of why big fights aren’t happening in boxing. He stated Tyson Fury is afraid to fight Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk. He said, “That’s why you don’t see the biggest fight. F**king Tyson Fury is afraid to fight Joshua. Tyson Fury is afraid to fight Usyk you know.”

Additionally, he raised questions about the lightweight division fighters. He asked, “Why hasn’t Gervonta [Davis] and Devin Haney fought? why hasn’t Gervonta [Davis] and Ryan Garcia fought?”

Paul explains why boxing is dying

After he questioned why these huge fights weren’t happening in boxing, he went on to enlighten the world about the reason. He states that one of the fighters involved is afraid of getting in the ring with the other, which kills the sport of boxing.

He said, “Because one of the parties is scared, who knows which party it is, but this is why boxing is dying because these fights aren’t mandatory, no one can force them to do these fights”
