Floyd Mayweather had words of praise for his former foe. ‘Money’ Mayweather reacted to Manny Pacquiao retiring from boxing. The Philippine put an end to his boxing career as he plans to run for the presidency in the Philippines. Floyd himself retired from the sport, other than a couple of exhibition matches here and there.

Michael Benson reported Mayweather’s reply to Pacquiao’s retirement. Per Benson, Mayweather said, “Manny Pacquiao – I think that he’s one of the best. We didn’t come together when we wanted to, but we were able to come together and give the fans a helluva fight.”

Pacquiao went into the fight with a shoulder injury, leaving many fans and analysts to believe Floyd did not face the best version of Pacquiao. Although Floyd won the fight clearly, Pacquiao showed some sparks of his insane speed and movement during the match. The fight also holds the record for the highest PPVs ever sold.
