Former rivals Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao might have walked away from the bad-blood feud. However, they are still far from being in each other’s corner. While both the veterans have their upcoming challenges in Logan Paul and Errol Spence Jr., Mayweather has backed ‘Truth’ to vanquish ‘Pac-Man’ in August.

Prior to his fight against Paul, Mayweather connected with the media and shed his opinion on several things. Starting from a possible rematch against Conor McGregor to his next moves, ‘Money’ spoke out his mind. Meanwhile, he also wished luck for Errol Spence Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, before predicting a possible outcome to the welterweight showdown.

Floyd Mayweather said, “I wish both guys, nothing but the best. But Errol Spence, I want to see him win. I am pushing for Errol Spence to win. Absolutely, that’s my people. I am going to always stand behind my people first.

WBC/ IBF titleholder Errol Spence Jr. holds an undefeated record of 27-0. Following a successful return to action against Danny Garcia in 2020, ‘Truth’ was hunting for a viable contender. That said, a fight against Manny Pacquiao would be a career-defining moment for him.

Although Pacquiao is an all-time great with sheer experience and accolades on board, Spence Jr can crack him up. Severa features can come in handy for the undefeated world champion and Spence Jr. can rightly become 28-0 against ‘Pac-Man’.

Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr. – Who will win?

Akin to Spence Jr, Pacquiao would also face a tough time in his upcoming appearance. He hasn’t been active since beating Keith Thurman and Adrien Broner back-to-back in 2019. So, it would urge ‘Pac-Man’ to rust off over two-year-long inactivity from the action. Meanwhile, the 42-year-old would also have no blueprint to look at and prepare for defeating Errol Spence Jr.

However, Pacquiao’s experience and sheer skill can help him bag the win. While he outclassed two top-tier fighters in 2019, Pacquiao can also be the first man to beat Errol Spence Jr. It would bring a welterweight world title around Pacquiao’s shoulder and can be one of the biggest wins in his career.

It would be a fan-favorite clash, citing enormous energy from both the contenders. The fight is scheduled to happen on August 21 and can influence several other matchups at the 146 lbs roster.
