Floyd Mayweather talked about the Davis vs Cruz fight at length; however, he somehow managed to sneak in multiple shots at Canelo Alvarez as well. He accused him of PED abuse and ducking big fights; ‘Money’ also made it very clear that he also has a problem with Gervonta Davis wearing his old opponent’s boxing gloves.

Not only does ‘Tank’ use the ‘No Boxing No Life’ gloves for training, but he also wore them for the Mario Barrios fight. However, Floyd definitely does not want Davis to use those gloves as he believes Canelo is “rooting against” him.

“What I don’t like is this and I want ya’ll to think about this. You can’t be wearing Canelo gloves and he is rooting against you. I don’t get it, I mean, I wouldn’t do it, I mean, we can wear a thousand different gloves, the result is always going to be the same, I can’t wear your gloves and you root against me,” said Floyd Mayweather.

The only reason why Floyd Mayweather always talks about Canelo is because Canelo is Floyd’s last opponent who is still active and relevant. And we all know Floyd is trying to keep his name attached to Canelo’s to keep himself relevant.

Tank fight weekend & Floyd rather talk about Canelo & Ped’s & announce that he’s gonna play a basketball match v Pacquiao. At this stage I’d rather see Floyd forget about his ego & just promote his fighters & let the world know who they are instead of still tryna promote himself.
