Gervonta Davis has been making headlines of late regarding his contract with ‘Mayweather Promotions.’ Moreover, the contract dispute between ‘Tank’ and the former pound-for-pound king, Floyd Mayweather, is currently the biggest talk in the boxing world.

Notably, the bond between Floyd Mayweather and his protégé Davis that appeared unbreakable seems to be in turmoil. The southpaw gun’s much-awaited clash with Rolando Romero that will land on May 28 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn will probably be the last fight of ‘Tank’ Davis with Mayweather promotions.

But the recent threat that had sped up the former champion’s problem is Golden Boy Promotions’ owner, Oscar De La Hoya. The Hall of Famer boxer has expressed his eagerness to sign the potential future face of boxing.

The promoter of Ryan Garcia, De La Hoya, has openly declared to make the fight happen between no.1 lightweight contender, Ryan Garcia and WBA lightweight titleholder, Gervonta Davis.
