Jake Paul is the most hated combat sports athlete at the moment. Ever since his fight with Mike Tyson, he has been a target of the wrath and criticism of many fellow boxers and fans. While various champions have issued a challenge for him, fans are taunting him to accept a match against a “real fighter” from the current lineup.

Boxing commentator “ShowBizz The Adult”, who was part of the Netflix team at the Paul-Tyson fight, took notice of the criticisms and launched an attack against all the critics bashing Jake Paul. He defended ‘The Problem Child’, stating that what he has achieved in his short career is something that many can only dream of.

Jake Paul: An unprivileged professional

Showbizz mentioned the fact that, unlike other professional boxers, Jake Paul does not have an amateur career. He directly propelled himself into the professional circuit. “Jake Paul does not have the privilege that other boxers get to become great fighters. Most fighters been fighting since 7 years old and have a vast amateur background,” stated the analyst, adding that the first 11-12 fights in a professional boxer’s career are often against low-level, unknown opponents.

The YouTuber then compared El Gallo’s initial career with the likes of Floyd Mayweather and Devin Haney. According to Showbizz, “These first 10 fights are like amateur fights,” further mentioning that Paul fought against Tommy Fury too soon. The Problem Child has only one loss in his career so far and that came against Tommy Fury last year. Unlike Jake Paul‘s other opponents, Fury was an active undefeated boxer who has been fighting professionally since 2018.

With disbelief on his face, Showbizz stated, “I don’t know any fighter who has no amateur background, and first 10 fights, you want to fight a ranked fighter.” He mentioned that if it was someone else other than Jake Paul, fans wouldn’t have been so critical.

However, according to the analyst, the hate against Jake Paul and the way he is enticing other fighters is shaping up the boxing world for better or for worse.

The face of the sport

Showbizz accepted the fact that Jake Paul is not an amazing fighter and needs lots of improvements. However, he also praised the way The Problem Child is conducting his fights and business. He said, “You got Ryan Garcia, you got Beterbiev, Andre Ward, want to come out of retirement to fight this kid,” stating how Jake Paul is at the center of the boxing world at the moment. Funnily enough, El Gallo declared himself the “New Face Of Boxing,” after his win against Mike Tyson.

Showbizz further mentioned how Gervonta Davis and his fans are denying Keyshawn Davis’ challenge stating that ‘The Businessman’ is not ready yet. The 25-year-old is rapidly climbing the lightweight division and has challenged Tank various times. However, the WBA lightweight champion has not even acknowledged the challenge so far.

However, on the other hand, Tank has already issued an open challenge to Jake Paul on his Instagram stories, which he later deleted. Surprisingly, The Problem Child accepted the challenge stating that, “Gervonta Davis needs Jake Paul,” instead of it being the other way around. However, the fans are against the fight and want the 27-year-old to accept Artur Beterbiev‘s challenge instead.

According to Showbizz, it is hypocrisy by the fans when they deny a professional like Keyshawn Davis an opportunity against Gervonta Davis, but at the same time, they contend that “Jake Paul gotta fight Beterbiev. What the hell ya’ll talking about?”

Well, it is evident that Jake Paul has been ruling the boxing world for the past few days weeks now and everyone wants to have a crack at him. With The Problem Child making his ambition regarding the world title known, we might see these fights in the future.
