After his recent defeat against former undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua was spotted training with none other than Floyd Mayweather Jr. When it comes to boxing, Floyd is the best in the game.

Boxing Editor Michael Benson tweeted a picture of the two in the gym. The tweet read, “Anthony Joshua training today with Floyd Mayweather watching on”.

After losing his unified titles to Usyk, the British boxer activated the rematch clause that was a part of the contract.

Floyd Mayweather’s support for Anthony Joshua

Mayweather previously stood up for Joshua, calling his defeat against the Ukrainian, “not an upset.” He further praised Usyk, and said, “It was just that, Anthony Joshua was on TV. Everybody seen him. Usyk was a hell of a fighter, a gold medalist if I’m not mistaken, but he was behind the scenes”

Floyd further explained the difference between coaching professional and amateur boxers. He then offered to train Joshua, which the Brit seems to have taken up. Floyd said,” He can come and I could teach you some pointers.”

Anthony is looking focused and driven to redeem himself. He has been training in America and plans to outbox Usyk in their next meeting.
