The cause of her death was not revealed to the public, but after her death, some reports revealed that she was having some health problems. The undefeated legend of boxing previously broke down while talking about her passing during an appearance on The Pivot Podcast, revealing how close the pair actually was.
Regardless, close to twenty-one months after Kitchie’s passing, Mayweather hopped on social media today to celebrate his late assistant’s birthday while penning a special message for her.

Floyd Mayweather considered Kitchie the sister he never had
Back in February this year, Mayweather opened up about the heartbreaking loss of his longtime assistant, Kitchie, describing her as the sister he never had and his closest confidante. In an emotional interview on The Pivot Podcast, Mayweather revealed the depth of their bond, saying, “Kitchie was the only person in [my] life that I could talk about anything to, that knew my deepest secrets.”

Kitchie was more than an assistant—she was his best friend and a constant source of positivity. “She taught me a lot, she helped me a lot. Through rain, sleet, snow, or hail, she had my back,” Mayweather shared, reflecting on her unwavering support. Her sudden passing last March devastated the undefeated boxing legend, who lamented, “We argue, we debate, we help each other … that’s a sister I never had. A best friend I ever had.”
