Former five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time. The champ recently opened up about working hard to reach the pedestal he is at. In fact, he even claimed that he put heavyweight boxers out of business by coming into the sport.

In a recent post by DAZN Boxing, Mayweather was stated to have said, “When I came in, I put the heavyweights out of business. I brought crazy money to the small weight classes.”

Moreover, he also added that he put in a lot of hard work to make his money. Mayweather said, “So now all the fighters [say] ‘I just wanna get paid. I just wanna get paid’. Before I got paid. I put in a lot of hard work. That’s what it’s about.”

Notably, Mayweather’s legacy is a testament to the hard work the champ put into his craft.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the richest boxer of all time. Moreover, it is reported that the champ has a net worth of a whopping USD 1.2 billion. In fact, ‘Money’ Mayweather’s extravagant displays of wealth are the stuff of legend.

There were two major bouts that contributed immensely to the champ’s massive wealth. Mayweather faced Conor McGregor at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada on August 26, 2017. Additionally, he previously faced Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada on May 2, 2015. These 2 fights cemented Mayweather’s position as the wealthiest boxer of all time. It was reported that ‘TBE’ earned a purse of a whopping USD 271.2 million from each of the fights.

‘Money’ Mayweather certainly lives up to his name as he continues to amass millions from exhibition bouts all over the world.
