The duo went toe to toe against each other, not only once, but twice. Interestingly, Maidana remained to be one of the few fighters who had seriously hurt ‘TBE’. In the third round, Maidana hit Mayweather with a strong right hand, which allegedly knocked Mayweather’s tooth out. The Argentine boxer claims to wear the tooth as a necklace.

However, the 50-0 boxer narrowly won that fight, with both fighters putting on a masterclass performance. Following that, the duo fought again at the end of the year when Floyd Mayweather defeated Marcos Maidana once again.
