Do you want to watch the two legends of boxing, Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson square up inside a boxing ring? These icons could never meet in a professional bout due to their significant weight difference and the different eras in which they fought. But, what about an exhibition bout? After all, the 5′8″ Mayweather fought a much heavier 6’2″ Logan Paul in an exhibition bout in 2021. Now, with Mike Tyson, at 58 years old, making a comeback to the ring, the possibility of Mayweather, a welterweight, facing off against Tyson, a heavyweight, isn’t beyond the realm of possibility.

Mike Tyson will be fighting in his first professional bout since his retirement in 2005 on November 14. With a 31-year age gap between them, the 58-year-old Tyson will be going up against the 27-year-old Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. A favorable outcome for Tyson in his upcoming fight could open up the doors for a possible exhibition fight with Floyd Mayweather. In a recent interview on a popular Mexican YouTube channel, PelucheEn ElEstuche, ahead of his fight against John Gotti III in Mexico City, Money Mayweather opened up on the prospect of him facing Iron Mike.

In their conversation inside a moving car, Floyd Mayweather was asked by Alex Montiel, the masked man behind PelucheEn ElEstuchethe —“Are you going to fight Tyson? He is doing exhibition fights.” In response, Floyd stated that he was keeping his options open.

“Uh, I don’t. I don’t know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather, but I truly believe we can do anything,” Mayweather stated. Notably, the retired professional fighter has fought in seven exhibition fights so far and dominated all of them with ease.

Meanwhile, before his upcoming fight against Jake Paul, Tyson fought in an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr in 2020. However, if the money is right, a fight between Tyson and Mayweather could surely take place. One thing is sure—it would be a guaranteed blockbuster, having the potential to break PPV and gate revenue records.

In the meantime, Tyson is pumped up for his fight against Jake Paul. Moreover, he also had a message for those who consider him too old to get into the ring with the ‘Problem Child’.

Say it to Mike Tyson’s face!

In his recent appearance on Logan Paul’s podcast Impaulsive, Tyson stated menacingly, “If you think I am too old for this fight, you need to come, tell me in my face.” Furthermore, elaborating on the scale of his upcoming showdown with Jake Paul, ‘Irom Mike’ claimed it would be the “biggest fight ever”. Meanwhile, he claimed that all the other fighters who are concerned about his safety are actually “jealous” and wish to be in his position.

Although there is a possibility that Tyson could get hurt in the fight, there’s also a puncher’s chance that the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ can deliver the knockout blow to Jake Paul. Certainly, a victory for Tyson will lift up his spirits, and maybe he could challenge Mayweather next. Who knows!
