WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney has found success in his career pretty early. The 22-year-old is already a World Champion, boasting of an unbeaten record of 25-0. Meanwhile, he has showcased some alluring features outside the ring and is seen as a smart entrepreneur off the canvas.

‘The Dream’ already has his own promotions and seems eager to get a hold on the boxing business as the days pass by. However, his stable is still negligible in front of the big companies like Top Rank, Matchroom, Golden Boy, and others.

That said Haney has made smart moves throughout his career. A lot has to be credited to his promoters, who have been keen on putting him against elite opponents.

While Devin Haney continues to dominate the boxing world, here’s a look at his business features and his promoter.

Devin Haney- ‘The Deam’ and his management

Haney was fortunate to begin his career under the guidance of Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather Promotions was where ‘The Dream’ honed himself with the best boxers, including the 5-division champion himself.

As he realized his abilities, Haney made a prominent move at an early stage of his career and inaugurated Devin Haney Promotions to embrace the boxing business. While it could have been a bit tough for him to maintain the business, Matchroom Promotions came in handy.

Eddie Hearn and his team signed a deal with the WBC lightweight champion in 2019 and proudly reflect him as their prime member.

So, Devin Haney is under Matchroom Promotions right now. Meanwhile, the lightweight champion has had 5 fights since 2019 and has been a top-tier prospect for Eddie Hearn’s company.

His upcoming title defense would be against Jorge Linares on May 29, and Haney seems like the favorite for the right reasons. On bagging a win, we can expect ‘The Dream’ to go for the bigger opponents.

That said, one more win can land him in the right place. As long as Hearn supports Haney, the American boxer would seemingly bag the right deals.

Haney has been on the right track of his career so far and will retain that trajectory for years to come. That said, he would continue growing as a boxing businessman, if he takes the right decisions at the right times.
