Floyd Mayweather has accumulated a lot of wealth during his career and even after retiring from the sport. Moreover, he is notorious for spending outrageous amounts of money on jewelry, fast cars, and fancy houses. This extravagant faulting of his wealth has rightly garnered him the nickname ‘Money’.
However, the former 5-division champ owns one possession that seems too expensive even by his standards. Back in 2018, Mayweather revealed his latest purchase that took over social media by storm. In an Instagram post, Mayweather showed off his Jacob & Co.’s Billionaire diamond tourbillon watch reported to be worth $18 million.

The watch is one of the rarest timepieces in the world created by Jacob Arabo in affiliation with Flavio Briatore and his Billionaire Lifestyle SARL company. The watch was first introduced in 2015 at that year’s Baselworld event and has since been sought after by many. It is made up of a diamond set with 260 carats of emerald-cut diamonds. These together make up the case and bracelet of the watch.
Moreover, each diamond is GIA-certified with some stones even weighing up to 3 carats each. The case and bracelet are one seamless entity crafted in 18-karat white gold with a sapphire crystal and sapphire case back. Although Jacob & Co. has long been known for making high-end watches encrusted with diamonds, this watch certainly takes it to another level and just may bring the diamond watch game to an all-new level.

However, the $18 million price tag that Mayweather paid for the timepiece might be a little too much. For context, the watch is worth $8 million more than boxing legend Mike Tyson’s entire $10 million net worth.

It looks like Mayweather has not had the best of relations with automobile makers. It was reported that ‘Money’ has been blacklisted by French automaker Bugatti. This was due to him trying to sell a Bugatti at a higher price after purchasing it. Moreover, this isn’t the first carmaker Mayweather has been banned from.
He was also blacklisted from Ferrari after he tried to pull off a similar stunt with his Ferrari Enzo. He tried to sell his Ferrari within a year of purchasing it, which goes against the automaker’s rule book.
