Since he earned the decision victory against the Mexican power puncher Isaac Cruz in the epic clash for WBA lightweight title, the only question that was lingering in the minds of his fans and boxing speculators was when will the ‘Tank’ return in the ring again.
However, Floyd Mayweather Promotions’ CEO, Leonard Ellerbe, had ended this conversation by breaking big news through his Twitter account.

He wrote, “Yooooo my phone has not stop ringing about Tank’s fight on 28 May in NY. This will be the biggest boxing event in the US this year. Watch how we roll this out, can’t fkn wait.”

For the uninitiated, the much-awaited bout will land at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on a Showtime pay-per-view top card.

According to BoxingScene.com, Floyd Mayweather‘s protege, ‘Tank’ Davis will throw fists against WBA interim lightweight champ Rolando Romero.

However, the duo was supposed to trade leather on December 5, 2021. But because of an accusation of assaulting a woman, Mayweather promotions and PBC dropped his name from the fight.

Later, according to Henderson Police Department, the claims that were made eventually proved wrong, and they did not charge Romero with any crime.
Till then, it was very late to resume the talks of a fight as ‘Tank’ Davis took a shot against Isaac Cruz.
Interestingly, the 26-year-old prospect was part of Mayweather’s Boxing Club. His performance in the sparring sessions caught the attention of boxing great. Moreover, ‘The Pretty boy’ has offered him a contract in 2016.
Obviously, since he is not working with ‘The Best Ever’, it means he would have turned down the offer.
