Floyd Mayweather has shut down all the rumors of another fight. During the WBC’s convention on Wednesday, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman addressed the crowd. He told the people that Mayweather and Chavez agreed to a fight either in Mexico or in Texas, where there are a lot of Mexicans. Both Mayweather and Chavez even looked at each other at the same time and said something.

After the convention, Mayweather spoke to FightHubTV and ended all the rumors regarding the fight. He also revealed what he and Chavez were talking about on stage.

“What me and Julio was talking about yesterday when I was on stage. I just told him you know, he’s a legend. Guys like Julio Cesar Chavez, Roberto Duran, Larry Holmes, those guys opened up the doors and paved the way for me to be where I’m at.”

“So he kept talking about, he want to do an exhibition, I said, I could use one hand if you want me to. So you know, he was trash-talking, but I wouldn’t do that, I wouldn’t wanna do that coz that would tarnish his legacy as well as my legacy.”

Chavez Sr. is 59 years old and his fighting days are well behind him.

Floyd, on the other hand, is 44-years-old and fought earlier this year in an exhibition match. He took on the American YouTuber turned boxer Logan ‘The Maverick’ Paul in an eight-round exhibition match in Miami, Florida.

Since then, Floyd has shifted his attention to help promote his own boxers and to focus on his businesses.
