Floyd Mayweather Talks Fighting Errol Spence Jr., Terence Crawford

Floyd Mayweather was recently in Texas for the launch of his brand new Boxing + Fitness gym. As we know he is one of the top boxers who hasn’t lost a single battle till now. The Hall of Famer was asked about a potential fight with two welterweight fighters, who are even rumored to face each other next. 

Floyd Mayweather was asked if he would like a fight with Errol Spence Jr. or Terence Crawford. He replied, “My philosophy as far as I’m doing these exhibitions, let’s never stop getting it, continue to watch all my social media pages and follow me. Thank you guys.”

The 45-year-old avoided answering the question and talked about his exhibition bouts. Additionally, Spence Jr and Crawford are in the prime of their careers, while ‘Money’ is retired from the sport. So making a fighter of an older generation fight new fighters seems inappropriate. Nevertheless, fans are excited about a fight between Spence Jr. and Crawford, but only time will tell when the world gets to witness it.

Both the fighters have been undefeated till now, and both have given a yes to go against each other next. Crawford(38-0-0) has been calling out Spence Jr.(28-0-0) for a while now, but it took some time to finally get the match-up hooked in.

Spence Jr. holds the WBC, WBA, and IBF welterweight titles right now. On the other hand, his opponent has the WBO belt. There have not been any official announcements about a date for the fight, but there are rumors that might take place in November this year.

Who is Floyd Mayweather going to fight next?

The ‘Pretty Boy’ of boxing retired from the sport in 2017, but he still participates in exhibition fights. The newly inducted Hall of Famer last fought his former sparring partner Don Moore in an exhibition match. Also, he faced Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018, and now there’s another Japanese who is set to go against him.

The 45-year-old is going to fight Mikuru Asakura next. Mayweather’s upcoming opponent is a mixed-martial artist and a two-weight champion in Fighting Network Rings. Furthermore, there are rumors about Mayweather having a rematch with UFC star Conor McGregor, only time will tell when the world will witness the fight.
